Nordic Edge is Norway’s official innovation cluster for smarter, more sustainable cities and communities.
We believe in working together towards common goals. We work across sectors on a local, regional and international level to accelerate societal change and drive business development.
The key to the Nordic Edge model is our ecosystem with the facilities, expertise and network to take a concept from idea to piloting, commercialisation and onwards to international markets.
The primary object is to contribute to the transformation for a cleaner, leaner future, by create opportunity and increased competitiveness for our cluster members for the benefit of inhabitants.
We take action to deliver on our mission of using technology, innovative methods, collaboration and co-creation to create smarter, more sustainable and resilient cities and communities.
To find the right solutions, we start with identifying the challenge. Our job is to connect challenge owners with solutions providers. Working in concert across sectors and borders our cluster members achieve more than most would do by themselves.
Sometimes we start from scratch identifying consortium partners for national and international projects. At other times we take part in already existing initiatives. We facilitate for between companies, cities and across sectors by hosting events and connecting potential collaborators. Curiosity, transparency and willingness to share are fundamental values to achieve the transformation we seek.
We are recognised as an Arena Cluster in the national cluster programme coordinated by Innovation Norway, The Research Council of Norway and SIVA.
